Presbyterian Women News . . .  . .Presbyterian Women:  Ever dream of visiting Alaska? Or wondered, “Who Exactly is Jesus?” Then this is your opportunity! October 1 the Maumee Valley Presbyterian Women will hold its Fall Gathering at Bluffton Presbyterian Church. Rev. Katie Kinnison, from Upper Arlington, will hold a workshop from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the Horizons Bible study, “Who is Jesus?” Lunch is provided at a cost of $8. Babysitting is also available. Forms for registration are available on the PW bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

 

After learning about Jesus, travel to Alaska at the BG’s Presbyterian Women’s Fall Gathering on Sunday, October 9 following the worship service. Michael Penrod will regale us regarding his recent Alaska trip. A brief business meeting will take place to approve the budget (which is posted on the PW bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall) and elect officers. Babysitting and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Tammy at the church office by Oct. 4 and let her know if you will need the babysitting service.

 Kindred Spirits will meet Monday, October 17 at 7 p.m. at the home of Janet Sorrells, 925 pearl Street. Janet will be discussion leader as we ask the question, “Who is Jesus?” and look for answers “According to Mark.  All are welcome to join us!

Wine, Women, and Wisdom (WWW) is a women’s group that meets once a month to enjoy each other’s company, look for wisdom in our discussions and share refreshments. In addition to our fellowship and learning times, we’ve sponsored a number of events and service projects around the church. We meet at someone’s home on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. This month the group will meet on October 11th at the home of Jeny Bellavia, 1451 Westminster Rd., BG. at 7 p.m. Please contact Jeny at 785/979-1764 or jenbellavi@gmail.com to let her know you will be attending. 

October is here, and that means that it's time once again for CHEESE BALLS! This year, we're again offering the deliciousness of our horseradish, dried beef, onion, and cheddar in full size and the sampler packs. And, rather than having 2 different price points this year, packs are just $7 each. Want to help raise money for Missions and Care? SPREAD the word and begin taking orders through November 6. You can even scan the QR Code to the left to access the electronic order form. Then, bring your mixers and roll up your sleeves to help assemble from 6-8:30pm on Thursday, November 10 or Saturday, November 12 from 9am until all the orders are filled.
